The 15th day of the eighth lunar month is a traditional Chinese festival-Mid-Autumn Festival. On this day, every family is reunited together to watch the full moon, which symbolizes abundance, harmony and luck. At this time, the adults were eating delicious moon cakes and savouring hot tea, while the children were playing with rabbit lanterns.

Eating moon cakes on Mid-Autumn Festival is as essential as Westerners eating mince pies on Christmas. Round mooncakes are usually filled with sweet lotus seed filling or red bean filling, and a golden salted duck egg yolk is added to the center of the filling to represent the moon. The moon is the theme of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. Every year on August 15th of the lunar calendar, people celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together. It is said that the moon on this day is the brightest and roundest of the year. Although separated by thousands of miles, we will still share the beauty of the moon together.
