15 Tons RGV Enables Efficient and Precise Transfer of Electrical Modules

Production Challenge
A large automotive manufacturer faced a challenge in its final assembly process: electrical modules for the truck cabs, weighing several tons (including instrument panels and wiring harnesses), needed to be transferred between multiple production lines. Traditional forklift transfer was not only inefficient and blocked aisles, but also posed risks of inaccurate positioning and damage to precision components.

Solution
Based on the customer's needs, we launched this 15 tons battery powered RGV. Its dimensions of 3500 x 2000 x 500 mm easily adapt to the factory's production line layout. With no distance limitations, it can move freely between production lines; its high temperature resistance ensures stable operation even in high temperature workshops.

Advantages
Intelligent Control and Precise Interaction: Integrating wireless remote control and PLC intelligent coding control system, it offers flexible operation and precise commands. The operation status is clearly displayed on an LED screen. The custom designed platform with double cast steel chains allows for millimeter-level precise interaction and automatic transfer with the production line, perfectly avoiding material collisions.

Comprehensive Safety Protection: Equipped with laser guided collision avoidance (Dead Man Stop) and audible and visual warning lights, the system automatically slows down and sounds an alarm when it detects an obstacle or personnel approaching, creating a collaborative safety barrier for people, vehicles, and materials. Its high temperature resistance also ensures stable operation in complex workshop environments.

Applications
Since the RGV was put into operation, the factory's electrical module transfer efficiency has increased by 40%, reducing the probability of material damage. Like a flowing "steel conveyor belt," it connects various production islands, greatly improving the continuity of production cycles and the overall level of automation.
