10 Tons RGV for Workshop Large Workpieces Transportation
Production Challenges
A large workshop operates year-round in a harsh environment characterized by high temperatures and heavy dust, where workpieces are bulky and heavy. Traditional forklift transfer presents significant bottlenecks: limited travel range, high fuel costs, exhaust emissions that pollute the workshop environment, and frequent recharging interruptions that severely impact production line rhythm.
Solution
Based on the customer's operational needs and the actual production environment, we designed and manufactured this 10 tons RGV powered by low voltage railway supply.
The RGV utilizes advanced low voltage power supply technology, drawing electricity from the rails via insulated wheels, carbon brushes, and conductive columns, completely eliminating battery range limitations and enabling uninterrupted long distance operation throughout the workshop.
The body adopts a boxgirder frame structure, offering strong loadbearing capacity and stable operation. To withstand the high temperature environment, the entire vehicle and its electrical components have been treated with heatresistant materials. Integrated laser dead man stop and limit switches establish multiple layers of safety protection.

Application
After commissioning, this RGV is primarily responsible for transporting large frames between the painting line and the welding shop. Workers easily position the RGV precisely at workstations via wireless remote control, utilizing the customized deck for quick loading and unloading. The laser dead man stop continuously monitors for personnel and obstacles ahead, ensuring safe humanmachine collaboration.
The RGV has completely resolved the workshop's challenges of limited heavyload transfer and operational interruptions due to battery constraints, increasing transfer efficiency by over 40% while eliminating forklift exhaust emissions and noise pollution, significantly improving the workshop working environment.
