35 Tons Non-Power Rail Transfer Cart for Workpieces
Production Challenges
A large equipment manufacturing company's welding workshop frequently needs to transfer welding workpieces weighing over 30 tons from the assembly area to welding stations hundreds of meters away. Given the high frequency and heavy load involved, the workshop urgently needs a transfer solution that is not limited by distance and can stably bear loads over long periods.
Solution
Based on the actual environment of the transfer site and the characteristics of the workpieces, Newld designed and manufactured this 35 tons non-power rail transfer cart. Two carts work together as a pair to support large workpieces.
The cart uses a box-girder frame, providing stable structural support for heavy load transportation. The flat platform can be customized according to the workpiece size, improving the compatibility of the equipment with the site conditions.
The rail transfer cart is equipped with cast steel wheels and a drawbar, and is propelled along the track by external traction equipment. Since the vehicle itself does not have a power system, there are no limitations on battery range or fixed power supply.

Advantages
- Heavy Load: A single car can carry up to 35 tons; two cars working together can accommodate the transfer of large workpieces.
- Environmentally Friendly: No power drive, generating no power emissions during operation.
- Highly Efficient: Two carts simultaneously support the workpiece, reducing the time spent on multiple adjustments and handling of large workpieces.
- Highly Adaptable: The platform, cart dimensions, and traction structure can all be customized to meet on-site requirements.

Application
In actual operation, two 35 tons non-powered rail transfer carts are arranged according to the workpiece length and connected to the traction equipment via a traction rod, moving synchronously on the track. The two carts share the weight of the workpiece, enabling the smooth transfer of large workpieces within the workshop.
