50 Tons Anti-heat Steel Handling Rail Transfer Cart
Difficulties:
A large steel foundry faced a long-standing challenge in handling high temperature iron ingots. Traditional handling equipment lacked sufficient load capacity and could not handle heavy loads. It was also prone to malfunctions in high temperature environments and required frequent replacement of consumables, which not only impacted production efficiency but also posed safety risks.
Solution:
The steel plant introduced a 50 tons battery powered rail transfer cart to address the existing problem. This equipment utilizes a box-girder frame and cast steel wheels. Its core innovation lies in a custom-made platform with built-in refractory bricks (resistant to temperatures up to 800°C) and double brackets.
Combined with a wireless remote control (effective range of 50 meters), operators can load and unload iron ingots from a safe location. A battery indicator monitors battery life in real time, and a portable charging station provides for easy, eliminating the need for cables.
Application:
The transfer cart features dual protection features including a laser dead man stop and an audible and visual warning light. It automatically brakes when a person approaches within three meters. During the continuous casting process, this equipment reduces transfer time from 45 minutes to 12 minutes. Half a year after it was put into use, the factory's iron block transfer volume increased by 220%, and labor costs decreased by 70%. Its high temperature and heavy load resistance has made it a good helper for the transfer of high temperature materials in the cast steel industry.
